Shopping online made it difficult to determine thickness. As a result I think I will need to replace it earlier then I have replaced other floor mats. My chair sinks into the mat making it difficult for the chair to roll, I get stuck and am sure it will wear out in these dents.

I thought, from the description, that this mat was for medium to thick carpets. I have berber carpeting, which isn't very deep, and this mat is really too thin for it. The wheels of my chair sink into it. I had purchased a mat from an Office Depot store several years ago for this carpet, and it held up well for many years. I don't think this one will.

No manufacturers chair mat last a full year on carpet.
This one is as good as one can find in USA.

The carpet mat is a great size, but it is a bit thin. I'm a very small woman and I leave deep impressions in the mat when i sit in my desk chair.
